Oh my gosh he is a cutie... I have never seen a Tibetan Mastiff in New Brunswick (Canada) But this one looks a lot to me like a Newfoundlander, which is my dream dog that one day I will have! I love all dogs but the huge ones really steal my heart

A great shot!
HOW do you do this? The shot seems to be taken in sunlight since the sky isn't blown out, but there are no overly dark shadows. I got the same camera, a Sigma f/2.8 lens and yet I get horrible contrasts in sunlight.

Thank you so much!

Well, I was playing around with the manual settings - TV.
I also have to admit that my new lens catches colors I never was able to catch before. I have a Canon EF 50mm 1.4 - and I LOVE it <3

I've heard that the 1.8 is better than the 1.4, but it might be just rumours. And manual is the only way to go. ;)
I'm glad that you like your new lens, it was obviously worth getting it. :)

I was reading alot when I decided to get a 50mm lens and what I found was that people generally started with the 1.8 but then got a 1.4. I can only say that I am beyond pleased with it :D

In a magic sack full of toys. He was just sitting there!

(Naw, a friend of mine imported him from Czech Republic ---> [link] but I do like the first version better)

:XD: I have been meaning to ask you how you arrange getting puppies from other countries and about the plane stuffs and whatnot but I always forget. :/

It's the breeder who does almost all the job. All the puppybuyer does is fetch the dog at the airport. Well, before all that there are alot of paperwork before you can import a puppy, but it's not very complicated once you get into it. It's well worth every minut put into it :D

Because if I ever buy one I will probably have to import it, considering the breeds that I like. :/
I want a Northern Inuit and those are in the UK.... Also I drool about the Saarloos wolfhound which is in the Netherlands- Holland I think.... Blarggh. :|

Well, it all seems more complicated than it really is. All rules and regulations can be found in whatever ministry handles those issues in your country. Here in Sweden it's the ministry of agriculture.

Thank you :aww:
I love to shoot lightcolored dogs, it's so much easier than black ones. They just turn out so great with whatever colors are behind them ^^
