I LOVE Tibetan Mastiff!!!

This is Ganzi Sundari together with his uncle Fu-Hsing Sundari (that would be Zodd). They haven't met since september and had a blast. I love it when grown up "bad ass" dogs get along and prove the world wrong ^^

Both boys are from Sundari kennel in Czech Republic :D

I have found my next new dog to love! A shorter furred version :D He is so gorgeous!

Haha, I've shown my husband so many of these that he now wants one X3 I guess Moose will have to make way one of these years because he won't be the biggest dog in the house any more ;)
Nah- Unfortunately Moose will probably have passed away by that time :( My hubby won't get another dog until his current one has passed (which is understandable- but her and Moose aren't very far apart in age)

I'd like one more dog myself, but the fact is (at least for me) that I suspect I don't have the time. At least not at the moment. So I'll wait a while longer. That's the fair thing to do to the future dog I think :D

I hope that down the line I'll find a Moose ''Jr.'' to keep when Moose gets to the point where he's become ''that age''. I would at least hope that one of his puppies turns out just like him. I could never give up that pup and would love it just as much as the parent. If I could, I'd keep my Moose alive forever <3

King Squishy looks less squishy next to that fluff-ball! :lmao: Does that little guy still have puppy fluff or is this a variant in the breed?

Long live the Squishy line!

LONG LIVE!

Nope, his fluff is all grown up ;)
There are quite a few coat lenghts in this breed. Zodd has one of the smoother ones. Ganzi's coat is quite long!

Yes, you could say that. His grandmother is the superfluff Drakyi Black Princess Sundari herself (black girl with a huge mane in my gallery).

Lol!! I'm so glad they get along! :XD: I wish my dog could play and get along with other dogs.. She's such an anti-social little savage.. ;P

Another beautiful photo! Zodd looks smexier than ever!!

Haha, I'll tell him you called him smexy and he'll get so proud. That's been his goal this whole year and he'll be happy to know someone finally noticed his efforts :giggle:

Too bad your girl isn't social, but perhaps it's a terrier thing?

Hehe!! :giggle:

I don't know what's up with Navi to be honest! She is more interested in shadows & lights than other dogs.. :/ Navi did, however, have a couple of dogs "beat her up" before (Boxers, Great Danes, Labs..). Before those incidents, she was a super happy go lucky girl. Now, she is just very cautious around bigger dogs and rambunctious dogs.

Navi gets all "worked up" around tiny hyper dogs though.. that may simply be her being a terrier! :XD:

I'm working on her and I am pleased to say, Navi is getting better! :)

A bad experience is all it takes!

Yeah, I'm thinking that Navi's getting worked up around tiny hyper dogs could be about her being a terrier and her prey drive.

Oh I like his fluffy ears! Hey SaNNas I was wondering if you could maybe answer a question for me since you seem to be familiar with a whole lot of breeds. I wanted to ask about guard dogs. Do you know enough about them to have a conversation on that?

Well I was wondering about how socialize dogs with guarding tendencies, especially how to teach them to give up something like toys or something you don't want them to be chewing that might be harmful. And info on breeds that are good guard dogs, preferably medium to large size that could live in an apartment or small house as long as they get enough exercise. I've been seriously considering the TM but I wouldn't get one in like 5 yrs anyway so I'm in no rush. Thought to ask you since you've photograph so many different breeds.

Well, first of all I think a TM will never do well in an apartment, no matter the exercise it gets. They really need a yard to guard, and preferably very tolerant neighbours or no neighbours at all. To have them any other way would be to take away too much from their original purpose.
This is my opinion, but I know that it's shared with most serious breeders all over the world.
A TM needs to work, in other words - they need their own space to guard. And their barks are loud, that's a fact, so an apartment would not be suitable.
I think that's one serious thing to really take into consideration before getting a TM, or any guardian breed for that matter (speaking mostly about livestock guardians now).

About guarding things (like toys and/or food) I have only my own approach to Zodd as a tip.
I was his "source" when he was a puppy.
I was the one who brought all food, in small "doses", all toys came through me. And never, not even once, has he ever tried to guard something from me. It's simply not in him since he always saw me as the one who came with all the goodies, not as a rival for those things.
But I have been told that ALL TMs show temper at least once as puppies (guarding something from their people). But I've never seen it in my own boy.
For him the pack is sacred and he would never even consider seeing any of his familymembers as rivals.
It may work on other dogs, I don't know. But this approach worked excellent on Zodd :D

Hope that helps you a bit!

It helps a lot. And yeah I rather wait till I have my own house to have a TM, I don't want to make him miserable or have to give him up.
About the guarding issue, that's good. I did the same with my younger puppies...which are not so young anymore , they turn 6 this year. But they're not at all guard dogs, they have yellow Labrador, Rat terrier and Maltese in them so their guarding instincts are low. But I've had dogs that viciously guarded their toys and food, for instance I had a chihuahua like that, he actually bit me when I tried to take something away from him. But I know breed its not always the reason why they act the way they do because I also had a Golden Retriever/Rottie mix and he was as mellow as a dog can be...oh and he was huge and looked like a slim Zodd btw. I miss him, my sweet Captain. Well I could talk about dogs all day so I'll leave it here lol. Thanks again.

I'm happy to share thoughts and ideas any time :D

Sounds like Captain was a really wonderful dog!
My old dog Rocky was a total sweety as well. Such a friendly dog towards all people and animals.
Zodd is keeping me on my toes a lot more than Rocky ever did. But I learn from it and I wouldn't trade him for anything ^^
