How I view the world...

There are things you humans will never get
I could tell you but would that help?
All us canines are born completely blind
We are lost, we are helpless whelps
Do you know how we find our path in life?
It's our nose that will show us the way
It will guide us to treasures and to new friends
Tell us where we should go, not to stray

We need it in order to survive
Do you humans have something like this?
A tool where you find all the good things in life?
Our nose can not be dismissed
Take a look at the world and the lifes that we save
just by sniffing the ground that you tread
We can find you when lost, or when trapped under ground
we keep going with legs full of lead

How we struggle for you, just for a treat
or a kiss or a hug or a toy
Well, that's what you think but we all know
We do it just to see your joy
So please remember all this next time
When you're getting annoyed with my nose to the ground
I am simply enjoying my life, ok?
But just in a different way.

With my nose I view the world.
